There is a unique visitor’s visa available for relatives of Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada. A typical visitor’s visa in Canada permits the visitors to visit the country only for 6 months.


A parent's super visa is quite different, it is a multi-entry visa that gives permission to stay as long as 5 years and with this visa, you can even apply for a 2-year extension. After you get the approval for a super visa, this gets validity for 10 years.

  • have documents showing they have essential medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company; 

  • this is sometimes popular as a super visa insurance


A very crucial requirement of super visa eligibility is that the applicant should have an in-force super visa health insurance policy from a Canadian insurance company. Super visa insurance is a kind of travel insurance policy that offers coverage of all the criteria of the super visa application process and residency requirements.
